The Position: Director of Billing shall serve as a chief support to the VP of Contract Compliance and Billing, Senior Vice President of Programs, Vice President of Mental Health on all matters regarding Mental Health Compliance and the implementation of these programs
Compensation and Benefits:
The pay range we’re offering is $75,000.00- $89,493.75 annually, depending (Based) on experience.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
- MA preferred, with a minimum of 3 years of Billing QA experience, including knowledge of the IBHIS System.
- Master’s Degree in Social Work, Psychology, Public Administration or in any other related discipline required.
COMPUTER/OFFICE SKILLS REQUIRED:
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) and other office-related software
- Experience with the LACDMH IBHIS System, San Bernardino County My Avatar System as well as the Riverside County ELMR System
- Proficient in Welligent EHR System
- Possess superior oral and written communication skills as well as interpersonal skills.
- Detail oriented and organized.
- Able to work independently and organize multiple projects with minimum supervision.
- Able to work as a team member.
- Able to maintain the highest level of confidentiality and professional boundaries with clients and staff.
- Able to represent the agency professionally and appropriately with all constituencies.
PHYSICAL SKILLS REQUIRED:
- Must pass pre-employment physical exam, TB and drug screening
- Ability to commute to various sites on and off campus
CLEARANCES REQUIRED:
- DOJ, FBI, Child Abuse Index
- Insurability Under Corporate Automobile Insurance
DESCRIPTION OF DUTIES:
- Oversees, Tracks and Monitors the Compliance Billing Department (i.e. Manual Billing, Internal EHR Billing and County System Billing).
- Reviews program documentation for compliance with regulatory and agency standards to match billing requirements and procedure codes.
- Assists service delivery staff in completing/correcting billing violations and EHR billing errors
- Monitor and Correct Denied Claims and Rebills
- Monitors the accuracy of billing records, billing procedure codes and rates
- Submit electronic billing through the Welligent System using EDI and EFT Sites.
- Receives and tracks EFT Data for Claiming Status (835s, 837 files, etc.)
- Targets the training needs and provides necessary training for billing staff.
- Develops and implements billing tracking systems to monitor and track funding allocations.
- Monitors Billing Reconciliation on a monthly basis and monitors billing and invoice variances
- Ensures County Manual Billing is entered, submitted and processed on time.
- Participates in required QIC meetings with State and County agencies.
- Reports any and all documentation deficiencies and/or compliance concerns to the VP of Contract Compliance and Billing in a timely manner.
- Works in tandem with VP of Contract Compliance and Billing, Senior Vice President of Programs, Vice President of Mental Health and Clinical Supervisors.
- Ensures that billing processes reflect a high standard of care.
- Coordinates any procedural and/or documentation changes with the VP of Contract Compliance and Billing and/or Senior Vice President of Programs
- Provides supervision to Billing Staff.
- Other related duties as needed.
