Program Assistant

The Company: McKinley is a highly respected welfare organization with a comprehensive array of programs and services – which touch nearly 1,800 lives annually – including short term residential treatment program (STRTP), Foster Care, Adoptions, Mental Health Services, and Special Education. The Position: We are looking for a Program Assistant, who is willing to embrace McKinley’s mission and H.U.M.A.N values. The Program Assistant will play a crucial role in driving McKinley’s mission forward by managing and executing program-related tasks. The Program Assistant is responsible for seeking new funding opportunities and ensuring all program initiatives are carried out smoothly and efficiently. This role extends to representing McKinley in crucial meetings, stepping in for the Senior Vice President (SVP) when required.

Compensation and Benefits:

Starting pay we’re offering is $25 hourly.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field or equivalent work experience.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Excellent research and analytical abilities.
  • Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Ability to work well in a team environment, collaborating with diverse stakeholders, while also capable of independent initiative.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong experience with the following technology: Excel, Microsoft Office Suite, Quickbooks, G Suite (Google Calendar, surveys, etc.), Calendly or scheduling program, Zoom and other video platforms.
  • Exceptional customer-service skills, over the phone and in person, with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Detail oriented and extremely organized with strong multi-tasking and time management skills.
  • Able to work independently and organize multiple projects with minimum supervision
  • Must pass pre-employment physical exam, TB and drug screening
  • Ability to commute to various sites
  • Ability to lift at least 10 pounds for filing, boxes, and packages
  • Ability to sit for several hours performing clerical functions
  • DOJ, FBI, Child Abuse Index
  • Insurability under Corporate Automobile Insurance

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage program assignments and deadlines to ensure timely completion of tasks.
  • Conduct research to apply for new potential grant opportunities and new program initiatives.
  • Assist in the preparation of grant proposals and reports.
  • Attend various meetings in the absence of your supervisor.
  • Provide assistance with calendar management.
  • Take detailed and accurate notes during team meetings and share relevant information with the team.
  • Collaborate with team members to ensure the effective coordination of program activities.
  • Maintain organized records of program-related documents and data.
  • Provide administrative support as needed to enhance program efficiency.
  • All Other duties as assigned.
