The Position: We are looking for a TBS Clinician/MAT Assessor II, who is willing to embrace McKinley’s mission and H.U.M.A.N values. The TBS Clinician/MAT Assessor II provides thorough clinical assessment to guide TBS and MAT services and provide supervision to the TBS Team, in collaboration with the TBS Supervisor.

 

Compensation and Benefits:

The pay range we’re offering is $58,240 - $61,000 annually depending on experience.

Qualifications:

  • BBS license eligible or Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist or Licensed Clinical Social Worker.  
  • A minimum of two years experience with DMH. 
  • Strong knowledge of Therapeutic Behavioral Services preferred.
  • Word Processing
  • Excellent Writing Skills 
  • General Office Skills 
  • Bilingual (Spanish) highly preferred.
  • Must pass pre-employment physical exam, TB and drug screening
  • Ability to commute to various sites on campus 
  • Ability to bend, stoop 
  • Kneel and lift 10 pounds

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Serve as the coordinator of care for a caseload of 25 TBS clients.
  • Consult with an interdisciplinary team for TBS supplemental assessment and treatment needs.  Direct TBS coaches in determining on-going treatment needs and evaluating treatment strategies.
  • The TBS clinician will notify the referring party to confirm the client meets the TBS requirements and to schedule the initial TBS intake. 
  • Conduct TBS intakes with the assistance of the TBS Supervisor by reviewing TBS referral form and other DMH documents provided by the referring party. 
  • Complete the Supplemental TBS Assessments in accordance with DMH and MCC standards. 
  • Coordinate and attend monthly TBS progress meetings and provide clinical support to TBS coaches. 
  • Complete the TBS monthly service plan meeting Notes (H2019) and other required documents in accordance with DMH and MCC standards.
  • Initiate and maintain contact with caregivers, establishing a therapeutic relationship aimed at reunification or other appropriate treatment goals.  
  • Provide caregivers and mental health providers with information regarding child’s progress.
  • Maintain contact with school personnel regarding each TBS client’s academic performance and behavior. 
  • Meet regularly with an interdisciplinary team to discuss treatment objectives
  • Participate in chart reviews and other QA functions
  • Provide supervision to the TBS coaches. 
  • Maintain all required documentation on a timely basis and in accordance with contractual and regulatory standards.
  • Attend all required supervision, department and agency meetings.
  • Take responsibility for ongoing development of professional skills.
  • Attend all required agency training
  • Participate in the agency’s Continuous Quality Improvement (CQI) plan as assigned.
  • Other related duties as assigned.
  • Collaborate with DCFS, DMH and DMH Contracted Agencies in order to assess any child that are newly detained to DCFS, removed from biological parents and has full scope medi-cal
  • Comprehensively assess child’s needs (medical, academic, visitation and mental health).
  • Complete comprehensive assessment and CANS measure.
  • Complete Summary of Findings (SOF) and present at SOF meeting all information gathered by the assessment to determine what services are most needed. 
  • Maintain case until appropriately linked or discharged based on need.
  • Provide Linkage and Referral to the appropriate DMH Contracted Agencies.
  • All Documentation of MAT assessment turned in on the specified due dates
