The Position: We are looking for a Quality Systems Specialist, who is willing to embrace McKinley’s mission and H.U.M.A.N values. The Quality Systems Specialist works collaboratively with program staff across programs, and help ensure that the youth and families we serve, receives the highest standard of service to meet their identified needs. Ensure the program activities comply with contracts, accreditation standards, licensing requirements, regulations and McKinley’s policies and procedures. .

  • Bachelor’s in a related field
  • Strong analytical ability required
  • Prior experience with special education guidelines, DMH, CCL and other regulatory agencies preferred
  • Prior experience in a Social Services Agency and Nonpublic schools preferred
  • Prior experience with SPSS Software preferred
  • Experience working in behavioral health field, include data collecting and auditing preferred
  • Microsoft Office
  • General Office Skills
  • Must pass pre-employment physical exam, TB and drug screening
  • Ability to commute to various sites
  • Ability to lift at least 10 pounds for filing, boxes, and packages
  • Ability to sit for several hours performing clerical functions


Key Responsibilities:

  • Become familiar with the Treatment/IEP Process, as well as law and regulations in Social Services and Special Education
  • Develop and implement schedules to conduct monthly random case reviews, case studies, cottage inspections, classroom inspections, stakeholder surveys for all programs as directed with a focus on documentation compliance including timelines, accuracy and quality, and medical necessity
  • Acquire knowledge and demonstrate proficiency of legal, contractual, regulatory and accreditation standards for all school sites, and all program service areas
  • Participate in the reporting of compliance to legal, contractual, regulatory and accreditation standards of program service areas to program leadership
  • Ensure the administration of standardized behavioral and educational outcome measurement tools as directed and perform data collection, inputting and evaluation
  • Prepare reports as needed 
  • Collaborate and assist McKinley Leadership in organizing records for visits and external audits
  • Commute to various school sites to ensure all sites are in compliance with legal standards
  • Assist the agency in maintaining accreditation status through the Council of Accreditation and “Western Association of School and Colleges” (WASC) and/or other accreditation bodies
  • Participate in the training of employees on legal, contractual, regulatory and accreditation standard
  • Actively participate in the Continuous Quality Improvement (CQI) process as assigned
  • Other duties as directed
